1939 Buick Straight Eight Saloon – POA
1939 Buick Straight Eight saloon
Finished in black and white bodywork with a black and cream interior, this Buick was found in a Norfolk barn a few years ago, it was subsequently restored mechanically and repainted. Unfortunately it was never completed and once again was left for a further few years.
Purchased by the previous owner in 2014 it had the chassis stripped and the running gear was all recommissioned. A new 12 volt electrical wiring system was also installed.
Acquired by The Private Collection in February 2015 this Buick now drives as well as it probably did when it was new and has been used for numerous weddings and proms duties. With its straight eight cylinder engine and 3 speed column change gearbox it has massive torque, especially at low speeds and it’s wonderfully quiet and a joy to drive.
