1942 Ford Willy’s MB (Jeep)

Built in 1942, this Willy’s Jeep was sold by the US Army in 1946 to a market gardener near Ross on Wye, who used to take vegetables to the market in the Jeep trailer. It was then sold to a gentleman in Gloucestershire, and 6 months later in 1970 to a Mr G Evans who in 1989 completely reconditioned and restored it with a body off project.

Later in 1989 the vehicle was taken by Mr Evans to the D Day Landings reunion, with a caravan in tow. The Jeep was also shown at various events including driving it to Guernsey.

Bought in 2013 from Mr Evans by a third owner, and then joining the Collection in 2015, this Jeep starts and drives superbly and is a firm favourite in the Collection.
